Word on the Street: VIKING RCMP REPORT CHILD CUSTODY ISSUE

On Oct. 17, police received a call for assistance regarding a child custody issue. Police mediated the situation and the matter was resolved without charges.

That night, police received a complaint of an injured deer in the westbound lane of Highway 14 near Township Road 480. Police attended and found the deer was deceased. The carcass was removed from the driving lane into the ditch.

On Oct. 18, police received a complaint of a theft of fuel from a rural location southwest of Viking. The complainant advised that sometime over the last month, culprits had siphoned gas from a vehicle parked in her yard.
Police have no suspects at this time.

On Oct. 19, police received a report of a break and enter to a private property structure southwest of Viking. The complainant advised suspects had broken into a sea-can and stole a weed trimmer and a jerry can of gas.
