Word on the Street: Viking RCMP report

  On June 14, police received a complaint of a suspicious person at a rural property north of Viking.

    The complainant advised a male subject on a motorcycle had been in his yard but departed when asked to do so.

    Police later followed up with the registered owner of the motorcycle involved.

    On June 15, police responded to a two vehicle collision on Highway 14 near Bruce.
 
    The investigation revealed an eastbound vehicle crossed the centre line directly into the path of a westbound semi-tractor unit.

    The semi-tractor unit ended up in the south ditch and burst into flames. The driver of the truck managed to climb out of a window and was not injured.
 
    The driver of the eastbound vehicle sustained major injuries and was transferred by STARS to the Royal Alex hospital in Edmonton.
