Word on the Street: Viking RCMP report – Citizens on Patrol lead police to arrests

On April 24, police received a complaint of a break, enter and theft at a rural location. Police are continuing their investigation into this matter.

On April 28, police received a complaint of a suspicious vehicle parked at a local Community Centre. The vehicle was located and police spoke to a subject associated to the vehicle and learned the driver was currently visiting friends in the area.

On April 29, police received a complaint of a subject trespassing on private property. The caller advised that a female known to the caller attended his residence to discuss court matters.

The caller asked the female to leave. Upon police arrival, the female was located at home and spoken to and warned to have no contact or attend the complainant’s residence or she would be charged with trespassing.

Police would like to thank the Citizens on Patrol for a call that was made to police on April 20 regarding a disturbance in an alley. The complaint resulted in the arrest of three adult males, all of which were charged with various offenses. The males will be appearing in Vegreville Provincial Court.
