Word on the Street: Viking RCMP Report

On March 28, police received a complaint of a group of youths causing a disturbance in a back alley in Viking. A patrol was made but the youth were no longer at the scene and could not be identified by the complainant.

On March 30, a citizen attended the detachment to report her and her children were being harassed by a youth in Viking.

The youth was spoken to by police and warned that charges could be laid if the behavior continues.

On March 31, police received a complaint of identity theft and fraud that had occurred sometime over the previous year.

The victim was unaware the fraud had been committed until she was contacted by a collection agency and advised she owed money to a business. This matter is still under investigation… for more see the April 5/16 Weekly Review
