Word on the Street: Viking RCMP report

During the early morning hours on March 7, police received a call from a female who advised her boyfriend was driving her vehicle and she was concerned he might not return it as they had had an argument.

Police did not get involved in this matter as the vehicle was never officially reported stolen and no crime had been committed.

On March 8, CN Police called to report a damaged crossing gate at the track crossing Highway 36 in Viking.

Maintenance crews arrived on scene and repaired the damage. There was no information available regarding the involved vehicle that had caused the damage.

On March 9, police received a complaint of theft from a vehicle that had been parked in the parking lot at a local business in Viking. The complainant advised a radar detector and gas cards had been stolen. This matter is still under investigation… for more see the March 15/16 Weekly Review
