HOLDEN FIREFIGHTERS YEARLY RECERTIFICATION

Over the weekend, on both Saturday and Sunday members of the Holden fire department attended recertification at the Holden Community Hall. Firefighters are required to renew their First Aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) yearly. In the top picture members practise resuscitation using a bag valve mask (BVM) and an automatic external defibrillator (AED). The second picture is members practicing wound care. In this scenario the patient had his eye impailed. The department members practised splinting techniques and stablizing injuries like fractures and sprains. The bottom picture is members practising CPR.
