WORD ON THE STREET: Viking RCMP report

   On November 4 police received a complaint of an attempted phone scam. 

    The complainant advised she had received a phone call from someone claiming to be from the Canada Revenue Agency.

 

    The person advised she owed the government money however, the complainant did not provide any information or forward any money so did not become a victim.

    Later that afternoon, police responded to a complaint of a traffic hazard on Highway 14 near Bruce. 

    Police attended and found a tractor pulling a bale wagon stuck in the ditch with the end of the wagon still partially blocking the driving lane. 

    Police assisted with traffic control until the vehicles could be removed a short time later… for more see the Nov. 10/15 Weekly Review
