Extendicare residents and staff alike were treated to a day of fun as a carnival took over the parking lot on Thursday, Aug. 27.

Everyone was able to pitch in for the event, as residents made Rice Krispie and puffed wheat treats, which were distributed to everyone attending along with popcorn and juice boxes.

Girls from the local Junior High School volunteered to work the carnival activities, and dressed up with the staff to play the roles of assorted carnival workers.

The afternoon featured several games, including fishing, knocking over cans with tennis balls, and shooting targets with a water gun.

There was even a prize table for everyone who won a game to go and claim something to keep.

The warm weather provided a beautiful day for being out in the sun.

The carnival atmosphere was completed with a fortune telling booth, two girls dressed up as conjoined twins, and a ring leader running the show.
