Word on the Street: Viking RCMP report

    On April 14 a citizen attended the detachment with a wallet he had found at a rural location.  The wallet was returned to its rightful owner.

    That same day, police received a report

of a break and enter at the building located near the fish pond in Viking. Nothing appeared to be stolen however several items inside the building were damaged. The investigation into this matter is continuing.

    On April 15 police were advised of some vandalism that had occurred at the Viking Legion. Unknown suspects damaged two memorial signs on display on the grounds. Neighbourhood inquiries revealed two pickups were noted to be backed into the property during the early morning hours on April 12.   
          
    Witnesses advised the trucks were white and burgundy in color and possibly both Chevs.  If anyone has information regarding this crime, they are asked to contact their local police or Crimestoppers.
