WORD ON THE STREET: Viking RCMP Report

   On Feb. 23, police received a complaint of vandalism to a vehicle. The investigation was unable to determine if the damage was sustained as an intentional act or nature induced.

    On Feb. 26, police received a complaint of a hit and run collision. The complainant advised his vehicle had been damaged while parked at his place of employment in Viking.  There were no witnesses and there was no evidence left at the scene.

    On Feb. 28, police were making a routine patrol when they observed a vehicle pass another vehicle when it was unsafe to do so.

A traffic stop was initiated. Investigation revealed EPS was in possession of an outstanding warrant for the involved driver. He was placed under arrest and transported to the Viking Detachment where he was held until his passenger was able to attend with the outstanding fine money he owed.
