Word on the Street: Viking RCMP report; Edmonton police called in for arrest
On Feb. 2, police received a complaint of a “gas and dash” theft from a gas station in Kinsella.
The complainant provided a license plate number and advised this same individual had drove away without paying for his gas on two other previous occasions. The investigation into this matter is continuing.
That same day, while following up on a previously reported complaint, members noted personal belongings and a suspicious vehicle at residence in Viking.
Investigation revealed the vehicle was associated to a male with several outstanding warrants dealing with numerous serious, violent charges.
A plan was developed in consultation with other police agencies and the suspect was arrested and taken into custody by members of EPS the following day.
