REGIONAL SERVICES COMMISSIONS EXPLAINED at Holden meeting

    Representatives from area village and town councils as well as Beaver County council met Wednesday afternoon in Holden for an information session on Regional Services Commissions (RSCs).

    Members of a team from Alberta Municipal Affairs made the presentation at the Holden Community Hall to about a dozen people.

    Ryan Edwards, an advisor  and Kie Shiroma an analyst, both with Municipal Sustainability, gave the presentation which described in some detail what a Regional Services Commission (RSC) is and what its duties entail. Kai So, Manager of Municipal Sustainability and Information, was also on hand to answer any questions.

    The audience was told that a Regional Services Commissions is a regional entity which delivers municipal service to defined areas.
