Word on the Street: Viking RCMP report

    On Oct. 21, police received a complaint of a vehicle that had passed a fire truck while its emergency lights were activated.

    The complainant was able to provide the license plate number of the offending vehicle so the registered owner was contacted and issued a violation ticket for Section 65(2) UHRRR.

    On Oct. 22, police were advised of an abandoned vehicle that had been parked in front of a business for several days without being moved.  The registered owner was spoken to and he had the vehicle moved.

    That evening, police checked a vehicle parked by a local gas station. Police located open liquor in the vehicle and also found the driver only possessed a learner’s license and there was no qualified supervisor in the vehicle.
