CONSTABLE K. HANSEN JOINS VIKING RCMP DETACHMENT

    RCMP Constable Katherine Hansen says she chose Viking as a posting because she likes the lifestyle a smaller community has to offer.

    Const. Hansen joined the local RCMP detachment earlier this month replacing Const. Sam Smith who transferred to Fort Saskatchewan following his recent marriage. His wife, also an RCMP constable, is posted in Sherwood Park.

    A five-year member of the RCMP,  Const. Hansen transferred from a posting in Fort McMurray where she had served since graduating RCMP Academy, Depot Division in 2009.
