New water and sewer coming for Irma

Residents of Irma will, in the coming months, be given details regarding the long term plans being looked at by the Village Council.

Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) Neil Loonen said council had a special meeting on June 24 at which plans for the coming years were discussed.

He said at the meeting council decided that during 2015, 2016 and 2017, the Village of Irma is planning to replace water and sewer lines throughout the village.

“The village will replace services from curb to curb and, during that construction period, residents will be given the option of replacing the lines on their property at their cost or leaving them until replacement is required,” he said.
