Word on the Street: Viking RCMP report

   On July 8, police were called to a local bar as they received a complaint of two intoxicated patrons causing a disturbance in the parking lot. Police attended and located the two males who were cooperative and returned to their rooms without further incident.

    That afternoon, police received a complaint of a semi-tractor unit driving in an erratic manner on Highway 14. 

    A patrol was made and the vehicle in question was located parked at a rest stop along the highway. 

    The driver was spoken to and admitted he had been feeling tired so had pulled off the road to sleep.  
    His documents and log book were checked and all were up to date, no charges were laid.

    Late that night, police received a complaint of a noisy party at a residence in Viking.
    Police attended and warned the occupants regarding the Town’s Noise By-law. The party quieted down and no further complaints were received.
