Accidental call to police results in confiscation of drugs: Word on the Street

On May 5, police responded to a 911 hang up at a local motel. Upon attending the room, it was determined the call was accidental in nature. However, the member could detect the odor of cannabis marihuana.

Two small baggies containing small amounts of illegal drugs were handed over to police.

During the early morning hours on May 4, police were called to a local gas station as a subject had discovered three dead cats in front of the main door.

Video surveillance tapes were reviewed and a suspect vehicle description was obtained. Neighborhood inquiries were conducted which resulted in identifying a suspect who was later arrested and has been charged with Mischief under the Criminal Code.
