Medical examiner rules 17-year-old’s death non-criminal   

    The death of a 17-year-old found dead near East View Park in Viking has been ruled non-criminal in nature and, according to police, at no time were residents of the area in any danger.

    The young woman had been found deceased around 6:30 p.m. on Sunday, March 30, 2014.

    Police say she had been attending a wedding reception in Viking and when she was found, she wasn’t wearing winter clothes.

    An extensive police investigation saw the area near the park taped off for almost three full days.

    An autopsy  was performed Tuesday, April 1, and the office of the Medical Examiner in Edmonton concluded that her death was non-criminal in nature… For more see the April 8/14 issue of the Viking Weekly Review
