Viking fire and rescue crews worked with the Holden Fire Department in response to a fatality accident which occurred on Sunday afternoon at Highway 26 and Range Road 153.

A water truck and car collided killing the lone occupant of the car, a 51 year old man from Calgary.

Regional Fire Chief David Zayonce said crews were called to the fire scene at about 3 a.m. and were on sight for an estimated seven hours.

The investigation into the cause of the fire is ongoing
