Two forums for municipal candiates taking place this week

With the Oct. 21 municipal election drawing near, residents are reminded of the two candidate forums taking place this week.

    The candidates for councillor positions will take place Tuesday at the Seniors’ Centre in Viking starting at 7 p.m.

    A school bus equipped with a wheelchair lift will be on hand to pick up seniors, free of charge, from Vialta Lodge, Beaver Manor and Extendicare for all those residents wanting to attend the forum.

    The same bus will once again be available free of charge to transport seniors to the mayoral forum on Thursday, Oct. 10 which also starts at 7 p.m. and will take place at the Seniors’ Centre.
