Stage set for Mayor’s race in Oct. in Viking – former Mayor Cindy Lefsrud wants job back

There will be a race for the position of Mayor of Viking. Cindy Lefsrud, former Viking Mayor, today  announced her intention to seek the mayor’s position. She is now the second candidate to declare.

    In August the former Regional Fire Chief and Regional Director of Emergency Management for the Beaver Emergency Services Commission, David Zayonce made it known that he will seek the Mayor’s chair.

    Current Mayor Marlene Grandinetti said Monday she is not ready to declare her intentions.
