Sidewalk repair set to start in Irma

If the weather cooperates, Irma Village council heard that work will start on the Irma Co-op sidewalk project as early as Sept. 23.

At the regular meeting of Irma Village Council Tuesday, Sept. 10, council was told that the plan is to start tearing up the sidewalk early next week.

Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) Neil Loonen said  the new sidewalk which will run for a block on the east side of 50 Ave. to 51 Ave., will be poured so that it slopes away from the buildings.
