David Holmberg remembers coming from Edmonton to Uncle Oscar Holmberg’s farm southwest of Viking, Alberta.

As children, David and his sister, Lois and brother, Brian, would head out to the cultivated field when it rained and scour the surface of the ground looking for treasure.

The rain would wash off the stones in the field and sometimes one would find much seached for arrowheads. In Uncle Oscar’s back porch was an old can that the artifacts would be dropped into.
