Word on the Street: Viking RCMP report

    On August 7, police received a complaint of a possible impaired driver near Viking. 

    The complainant ad-vised he was following a dark blue or green dodge pickup that was swerving all over the road. 

    A patrol was made, however, the suspect vehicle was not located.

    On Aug. 8 at approximately 7:00 p.m., Viking, Killam and Tofield RCMP, Beaver County EMS, Beaver County Fire and Rescue, Wain-wright EMS, Hardisty EMS and STARS all responded to a complaint of a single vehicle roll-over collision at the intersection of Highway 26 and Highway 14 east of Viking where three occupants had been ejected from the vehicle.     

Upon arrival at the scene, RCMP located two females and one male lying outside of the vehicle. 

    One female passenger, Sonia Tremblay, 26 years of age from Redwater, Alberta, was pronounced deceased at the scene.
