Former mayor Cindy Lefsrud to run in upcoming municipal election in Viking

  Cindy Lefsrud, who was Viking’s Mayor from 2006 to 2009, has announced she will let her name stand as a candidate in this fall’s municipal election.

    Lefsrud is the first person to declare as a municipal candidate.

    Currently, the only member of Town Council who has announced his intentions is Councillor Roy Ellingson who said he has no plans to seek re-election.

    “I really feel like I can represent the best interest of the voters,” Lefsrud said in making her announcement.
