New benefit package passed by Town of Viking
A new benefit package for employees has been adopted by the Town of Viking.
Viking’s new Assistant Chief Administrative Officer (CAO), Jackie Fenton, presented council with a number of options she had prepared to increase the amount of coverage available to town staff members.
If all nine town employees eligible for the plan should sign on, the cost to the town will be
$39,756.84 per year.
The new benefit package will see health and dental added to the coverage and will put in place a 75 per cent – 25 per cent pay split with employees paying the lower percentage.
