Maple Lodge picnic enjoyed by many

Maple Lodge Community Hall members gathered to celebrate a special presentation at the former school house.

On Sunday, July 14 the damp weather held off long enough to allow former students along with their family members and friends attended the school’s annual picnic.

Einar Loveseth welcomed everyone to the event and recounted his time spent at the school as a student many years ago and compared his school years to those of his grandchildren’s experiences today.

The school house was built in 1925 and served as a school until 1952 when it became a community centre.
