Word on the Street: Viking RCMP report

On April 29, police received a complaint of an erratic driver eastbound on Highway 14.

The caller advised he was following a semi tractor unit that was swerving in and out of the oncoming lane and driving well below the speed limit.

A patrol was made but the vehicle in question could not be located.

On April 30, the CN Police contacted Viking RCMP to advise engineers on a passing train had observed a vehicle in the ditch near Bruce with a person still inside.

A patrol was made to the area however the vehicle was gone on arrival.  Tracks indicated the vehicle had entered the north ditch, travelled east to an approach and then drove back onto the roadway.
