The Premier’s commitment not to balance the budget on the back of municipalities has been kept according to the Hon. Richard Starke MLA for Vermilion-Lloydminster, Minister of Tourism, Parks and Recreation.

He spoke to last week’s provincial budget during a telephone interview with the Weekly Review.

    Municipal Sustainability Initiative (MSI) funding which was suppose to come to an end in 2016-17, was given an extended life span in  last Thursday’s budget.

While there was no definite run date attached to the program, there is no longer an end date.
