WORD ON THE STREET JAN 7 – 13: RCMP report
On Jan. 9, police re-sponded to a single vehicle collision at a local gas station in Viking.
A semi-tractor unit attempted to fill up at the pumps and collided with the awing covering the pumps causing damage to the structure as well as the semi-tractor.
The driver made arrangements to pay for the damage and was issued a written warning for Sec. 9(a) UHRRR.
That evening, police received information regarding a domestic dispute that had oc-curred the previous night at a local bar.
Police were advised a male subject had broke a bottle and then threatened his girlfriend with it. The male had then left the establishment without any further incident. Police spoke with all parties involved and the investigation into this matter is continuing.
