Holden by-election Monday

Holden residents will go to the polls Monday, Dec. 3 to vote in a by-election  to chose a new councillor.

Two candidates, Mark Giebelhaus and Alan Olson have put their names forward in an attempt to win the councillor seat vacated by Councillor Carissa Oswald who resigned her position in September of this year.

The polling station which will be located in the Holden Seniors Centre at 4914-50 St., will open at 10 a.m. Monday, Dec. 3 and stay open until 8 p.m.

To cast a ballot for one of the two candidates a voter must be at least 18 years of age, a Canadian citizen, a resident of Alberta for the last six months and a resident of Holden on the day of the election.
